Activities at the camping site and around Samsø
There are always loads of fun and exciting activities to enjoy at the camping site. Explore one of our onsite playgrounds, challenge your friends to a game of soccer on our ballfield, visit our petting zoo or go mini golfing on our golf court. And most importantly: Relax and enjoy your holiday along with our other amazing guests, who are all there to do the same. That is what makes Ballen Beachcamping so amazing.
Just 1.5 kilometers south of the camping site you will find Ballen harbor with its many shops and restaurant. A beautiful path along the beach will take you there. Samsø golf course is just 1.5 kilometers north of the camping site.
The Island of Samsø offers you an abundance of activities and nature experiences. You can pick up our local tourist guide when you arrive or explore the website of Samsø Turistbureau, that has all the main attractions and events listed.

There are a lots of family activities to enjoy at the campsite throughout the entire high season (excluding week 29, where the festival is held). We highly recommend the extremely popular bonfire-evening, where everyone gathers at the beach to twist bread over the fire and sing along long into the night.

Week 27-32
Monday
Build the sandcastle of your dreams
Come along and build a mythical creature out of sand, an amazing sandcastle, or whatever inspires you. Whether you spend the entire day or just an hour or two is up to you, as long as you let your imagination run wild. At 4 pm we all gather at the beach to pick the winner of the day.
Tuesday
Cone-race
We start off gathering cones around the camping site for the big bonfire Wednesday night. At 4 pm we all meet up again under the pent roof with our findings. There is a small price for the participating children.
Wednesday
Bonfire, bread-twisting and sing-along at the beach
Come along for a lovely evening at the beach. Children can twist bread over the bonfire as we sing songs and enjoy the fire long into the night.
Thursday
Crab race
Spend the day catching crabs. Bring your favorite crab and meet us at 4pm under the pent roof for an exciting crab-race to find the fastest crab of the day.
Friday
Minigolf tournament
Join us for a round of minigolf between 7 – 8.30 pm. The winner will be announced and handed a price under the pent roof following the game. Price per person: 10 kr.
